This image was taken during a "to die for" 60 minute helicopter flight in almost perfect conditions over the Landmannalaugar area of the South Central Highlands of Iceland. It shows perfectly the unique topography and scenery of the area - the brightly coloured rhyolite mountains, glacial melt rivers and, at this time of year, the lingering snow patches - which draw thousands of visitors annually from all parts of the globe.
