January 2010

Trahenna Hill, Southern Uplands, Borders, Scotland.

The fells around the village of Broughton are unjustly overlooked by hillwalkers on account of their relatively modest height and unchallenging slopes.
They are, however, ideally situated for views over the surrounding countryside and this view, in particular, from just below the summit of Trahenna Hill, south west towards the high Moffat and Ettrick hills and west over the upper Tweed valley towards the Tweedsmuir and Coulter fells never fails to please.
