January 2008 - Ben A'an, Southern Highlands, Stirlingshire, Scotland.

Little Ben A'an, despite being not much more than 1,500 feet high, is one of the finest viewpoints in the southern highlands.
Standing at the eastern head of Loch Katrine (the source of much of Glasgow's drinking water), it dominates the view across the loch to Ben Venue and along the loch to the distant Arrochar Alps above Loch Lomond.
Seen here at first light with a temperature inversion hiding the loch and alpenglow bathing the snow covered peaks.

Camera : Canon EOS-1DS Mark 3
Lens : 16-35mm f2.8LII at 18mm
Exposure : One 8th of a second at f8
ISO 200
