October 2009 - Corserine, Galloway Hills, Dumfries & Galloway, South West Scotland.

From Corserine, the aptly named "cross of the ridges", in this corruption of the Gaelic language, situated at the northern end of the Rhinns of Kells, the eye is drawn west to the rough, craggy and lochan strewn land around The Merrick, southern Scotland's highest peak at a height of 840 metres.
This view passes over Buckhill of Bush and the terrier like peaks of Dungeon Hill and Craignaw to the high points of Benyellary and The Merrick.
