March 2009 - Riggindale, North Eastern Cumbrian Fells, Cumbria, England.

An image which best sums up for me the beauty and lure of this wild and rugged part of the Lake District.
Seen across Haweswater from just below Branstree, the valley of Riggindale, bordered by the ridge called The Rigg, the high fell of High Street and the fell of Kidsty Pike, is seen at its best at first light on a still and lovely early Spring morning.
Riggindale, a wild and lonely place, is the home of England's one remaining golden eagle.
