From the summit of Beinn Bhreac (the brindled hill), at a height of 680 metres, the eye is drawn north along the length of Loch Lomond, from the lower slopes of The Ben, immediately opposite on the east side of the loch, to the distant Glen Falloch and Tyndrum mountains and back down the west side of the loch to the Arrochar Alps of Ben Vane and Ben Vorlich.
